2007 News: I really wasn't looking to add another Shire filly to my herd espcially after
the recent birth of Avril. As fate would have it though, Linda of Gowaltys Balley,
emailed me because she knew I liked Rosie and was looking to sell her. So we got to
talking and well, Rosie will be coming to Shiredale to join her look alike, Heidi! I always
really liked Rosie from the day I first saw her in 2006 because she reminds me SO much
of Heidi! She probably won't be very big either (16.3-17h expected) so she will be
almost identical to Heidi! Rosie arrived at Shiredale on August 24th at 8:30pm. She
settled right into her stall and acted as if she had been here forever. She instantly bonded
with Avril and Bianca! Rosie is NUTS about water. The second you touch the hose to
fill waters she is over by you wanting to be sprayed, especially in the face! She is a
goofball!
Update April 2008- Rosie is really starting to turn into a really classy filly! She is just
coming 2 years old but is really starting to put on the body and hair! She is SUCH a
sweet filly! She loves everyone and everyone loves her (except for our barn helper as he
gets to fill waters and Rosie LOVES to go "swimming" with her feet in them). You can
almost always find her walking behind Heidi in pasture, as she is growing up more it is
getting more and more difficult to tell them apart :)! They are very similar and I can't
wait until she is adult and to see her and Heidi together, they are both very similar very
beautiful mares! New pictures of Rosie April 6th 2008. Enjoy!

All photos below taken in 2007. Please excuse the lack of feather, Texas got a bunch of rain last summer and as a result lots of mud
so when Rosie arrived she had burned off the majority of her feather due to the mud. It is coming in great now!
15.3/16h as of 11/9/2008
Some new pictures of Rosie in November 2008. Rosie is starting to really put on the body, she
is definitely starting to look more and more like a Shire mare instead of a Shire filly! She is still
on the smaller side for Shires, but she is still a great filly! Rosie is currently for sale, view the
Horses for Sale link to view more info also! More new pics coming soon!
