About Shiredale & About Me
I was born in New Jersey in 1985 and moved to Longmont
CO in 1994 when my dad took a job transfer. I was quite
unhappy to leave the charm and amazingness of New York
City to come live with livestock. Little did I know it then but
it opened my eyes to my true life passion, horses. I attended
Niwot High School and graduated in the Class of 2003.
I then went to Colorado State University and graduated and
have a Bachelor of Science degree in Equine Sciences. I aim
to breed and train Shires, Drums, and Gypsies. I have loved
horses ever since I was 2 and my parents would take me to
see the Budweiser Clydesdales. However, it wasn't until
1994 I was able to interact with them. In the spring of 1994
my parents allowed me to start taking riding lessons. By age
11 I owned my first horse, by age 16 I owned by first draft,
a Shire gelding. I now own (am owned by :)) Heidi, a 1997
Shire mare, Maddie, a 1991 Shire Mare, Avril, a 2007 Shire
filly, Adrianna, a 2009 Shire filly, Belle, a 2002 Clydesdale
mare, Bianca, 2007 Drum filly, and Dinah, a 2006 Gypsy
mare.
I am finally accomplishing my dream of breeding horses and
have just gotten done with my second season breeding
horses which resulted in Avril and Bianca. Both of which
were that good they are being retained to serve as future
broodmares! Shiredale will be expecting 2 Shire foals in
2009 so keep an eye out for them as the time draws near!
I got the name Shiredale when I was thinking about farm
names and my favorite horse breeds. My absolute favorite
breed is the Shire, second is the Clydesdale. Plus my farm
started with one of each so I decided to keep Shire and add
the dale part of Clydesdale to the end to get Shiredale.
Shiredale has joined forces with Desert Jewel Gypsy Horses
in Arizona, so we are currently located in Phoenix, AZ!
Look forward to some exciting times ahead with this
partnership! Thank you for visiting the site and hope you
enjoy your stay! Below the pictures is more about my
spirituality and how my life has changed.

Here is a pic of my dad and I in front of the USS Arizona
Memorial in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii! We took a trip there
(my first time ever in Hawaii) in May 05. I am not a
photogenic person so appear in few pics, and rarely by
myself :).
It's official! I am a graduate of Colorado State University! I graduated
on December 16th 2006 and was SO happy to finally be done with
school forever!
Me and my 2 dream mares, Gabby and Heidi. Unfortunately my dream was
short lived when Gabby sadly passed away in August 2006. RIP my love!
If anyone would have asked me 5 years ago if I EVER thought I would have
what I have now, I would have said no way in heck. I have been incredibly
blessed with the horses I have and constantly thank God for allowing my
dreams to come true! Dreams DO come true!
It started as a kid with an admiration for the
big guys, the Budweiser Clydesdales. Little
did I know at that time how far the passion
grow and where I would be now that I
have grown up and figured out my life a bit.
My Thoughts on Religion and how it has changed my life:
I never experienced religion until I moved to Colorado at age 9, I got involved with a big church in Longmont. I wanted to get baptized so I
was baptized in 1995 on Easter Sunday and I can't say my life has been better than when I wasn't a Christian (I certainly feel it is though ;)),
but I am way more at peace with everything that happens and don't get riled by things that used to get me way worked up. I fully understand
life has its ups and downs, and religion doesn't mean we don't get down or we don't get upset or we don't face the same struggles as the
non-religious, we do we are still human, we just know that we are in the land of the dying going to the land of the living (Heaven). I feel
truly blessed to be where I am at at my young age, and that is fully God's doing.
Favorite Religious Passages:
John 12:25 The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves
me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.
John 15:18 If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is,
you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.
Frank, minister at Chaparral Christian Church "God gave us 2 eyes, 2 ears, yet only one mouth. Heed the advice."
