Maddie has arrived at Shiredale! She is going to live out her days with
her daughter (Heidi) and grandaughter (Avril)! We are SO excited to
finally have this girl here! I have wanted her to be with Heidi for
years! Maddie and Heidi are identical in every way; size, shape,
personality, quirks, everything! Maddie has had 3 fillies, Heidi in 1997,
Reggie a filly by Rom Baro in 2004, and Maisy a filly that looks
identical to Heidi by Galway Warrior in 2005. We decided to purchase
Maddie so she could live with Heidi as they are SO similar and they
still love each other. Maddie arrived on May 3rd 2007.
Update: It is now Sept 29th, 2008 and Maddie has been living here for
about a year and a half. She is still doing GREAT and LOVES to be
with Heidi, Belle, and in foal to Desert Jewel's Shire Stallion Joey, for a
March 4th 09 baby, which is SO eagerly anticipated! Anyway enjoy
the new photos taken Sept 28th, some by me and some by my mom!

Nov 2008 Update- Unfortunately Maddie somehow came down with a
uterine infection that I noticed when she was acting normal (eating,
drinking) but I knew something was off. She spent from Nov 21-Nov
24 in the hospital so the vets could keep a close eye on the baby.
Despite the babies heart rate dropping to 80 on Nov 22nd, the baby
decided to bounce back and has been at a steady 110bpm since!
Maddie has been on massive doses of antibiotics to try and clear it
without her losing the baby. So far the baby is still with her and looking
uterine infection that I noticed when she was acting normal (eating,
drinking) but I knew something was off. She spent from Nov 21-Nov
