Shiredale Horses Sold
Bucky is now proudly owned by Cielo Celeste Farm in Santa Ynez, CA!
Congratulations Desert Jewel Gypsy Horses on the purchase of Bucky!
Bucky I got from Jen and ended up selling him back as I wanted a good
Gypsy filly that I can take to shows/local events and I just don't trust
stallions in those performances and I can't have a herd of a million horses
so some had to go. He is one phenomenal boy and will be sorely missed!
Congratulations Desert Jewel Gypsy Horses on the purchase of Johnny!
My first Gypsy Horse and what a love he is, but I just don't have enough
time to keep them all and I want to focus more on community events and
local shows and can't do that with a stallion. He will be sorely missed!
Congratulations Jodi Frost on the purchase of D'Artagnan!
My first Shire/foal born at Shiredale Farm. I sold him in September of 2007
as I am retaining his grandmother, mother and 1/2 sister as broodmares so
wasn't much of a use in my program for him. He was such a love and have
so many fond memories. He will be hugely cherished in his new home
though so wish Jodi and D'Artagnan all the best!
Congrats to the Holden Family on the purchase of Rosie!
Rosie
2006 Bay Shire Filly
Dam:Hillcrest Judy
Sire: Caerberllan Magnum
Rosie is a VERY sweet easy going filly that will make someone a
phenomenal friend, riding buddy, trail pony, etc. She just LOVES to
be with people and is sweet as can be! I just don't have the time to
give her all the attention she craves and so would love to see her go
somewhere that will spend tons of time with her and just love her!
She would do well at the shows too!
Emily, 1997 Black Clydesdale Mare, 18 hands
Congrats to Joni Fitts and Joni Fitts School of Horsemanship on their
purchase of Emily. It is the ultimate home for the big girl and will teach
students the gentleness of the Draft Horses. Congrats Joni!

CJ
2002 17.3h Black Percheron Stallion
CJ is a 2002 17.3h Black Percheron Stallion that was purchased in 2007 from a
family friend's estate. CJ came to live at Desert Jewel with 2 Thoroughbred mares
that were specifically purchased for breeding. Not one to disappoint, CJ covered
both mare and the resulting foals are incredible. Over the last 2 years, he has
produced 3 fillies and 1 colt, and they are exquisite!
CJ has done a wonderful job under saddle. He rides both English and Western and
does well in a costume. He loves to be loved on by the people of all ages and is
truly one of a kind. Big, sweet, and gentle, with excellent conformation and a sound
mind, able to breed and work without the typical mischievous tendencies of most
stallions his age! He would do great in a program where he can be shown to his
fullest potential. I could easily see this big boy as part of a Medieval Riding
Program or show! Who knows...maybe he has a future in Hollywood!
Price: 4,500.
Avalon's Limited Edition (Edie)
2006 Bay Shire Mare
Dam: Cold Acres Crystal (17.2h)
Sire: Metheringham Upton Issac (19.1h)
*** In foal to Gronant Joseph for a March 17th 2010 Shire foal***
Edie is a young up and coming Shire mare that will excel in whatever path you
chose for her! She has a very animated trot that could steer her either
towards hitch work or pleasure riding/driving. She currently stands 17.1
hands as a coming 3 year old so she is a good size mare! Edie is very sweet
and loves people and also loves to please! She is a very interesting bay color
but has lots of sabino flecks throughout her coat. She will be bred to Desert
Jewel's Shire stallion, Gronauts Sir Joseph, for a 2010 baby. The baby should
be absolutely spectacular and get a great mare on top of that, you have got
yourself quite the start of a small Shire herd!
Price: 6,000
Avalon's Premier Dahlia (1/2 sister to Gowaltys Pasha Rose, aka Rosie-sold)
2007 Bay Shire Filly
Dam: Hillcrest Gypsy
Sire: Dapplewoods Paladin
Dahlia is Paladin's first baby and she sure did not disappoint! Dahlia is as
sweet and friendly as they come and is super curious and just an overall joy to
be around! She will be on the smaller side of Shires, we are expecting her to
hit 16.3 to 17h. She is very well handled and LOVES to be hosed off. She is
a very fun filly to be around and will make someone a best friend! She is not
overly hitchy so will do better in the pleasure/driving arenas. She has been
shown once (she was the only filly shown) but she handled everything like a
pro! If you are looking for a really nice up and coming Shire filly, take a look
at Dahlia! Dahlia will be bred to Gronant Joseph in Spring 2010.
Price: 4,500
2005 Bay Shire Mare
Dam: Frosty (Shire mare)
Sire: Powerful Paul
*** In foal to Gronant Joseph for a March 24th 2010 Shire foal***
Amira is one of the few Powerful Paul offspring around and she is such a
beautiful Shire! Amira is a tall, elegant, easy to work with Shire Mare. She
has been well started and will excel in the pleasure riding/driving arenas. She
has been started under saddle and is green but is very sound and sane and will
be a best friend for someone! Amira loves to be around people and is
another one that loves to be hosed off. She is current on all vaccines,
wormers, and trimming and she stands great for farrier, bathing, grooming,
etc. Amira is currently being bred to Desert Jewel's Shire Stallion, Gronauts
Sir Joseph for a 2010 foal. This is bound to be another spectacular foal out
of two spectacular Shires. Don't delay as crossing lines such as Walton
Supreme (Joey's sire, a Super Premium in England) and Powerful Paul,
probably the most known bay Shire stallion in the US, this foal will be worth
it's mom's price and then some!
Price: 8,000

Desert Jewel Daisy
2006 Bright Bay Shire Mare
Dam: Fox Valley Iced Coffee (Desert Jewel Java)
Sire: Powerful Paul
***In foal to Gronant Joseph for a April 17th 2010 Shire foal***
Daisy is another one of the few Powerful Paul offspring around and she is a
gorgeous Shire. Daisy is already taller than her 1/2 sister Amira, so she looks
to hit the high 17's when she is done growing. She is a very pretty Shire that
has everything in the right places. She is pretty hitchy, so would do well in
the hitch arena or the pleasure riding/driving arena. She has always been one
of the most admired "big girls" at Desert Jewel and for all the right reasons.
Beautifully put together, very sweet and friendly, loves to be bathed, stands
good for the farrier, what more could you want in a young Shire? Daisy will
be bred soon to Desert Jewel's Shire Stallion, Gronauts Sir Joseph for a 2010
foal. This is bound to be another spectacular foal out of two spectacular
Shires. Don't delay as crossing lines such as Walton Supreme (Joey's sire, a
Super Premium in England) and Powerful Paul, probably the most known
bay Shire stallion in the US, this foal will be worth it's mom's price and then
some!

Ethan
2009 Bay Drum Horse Colt
Dam: Belle (Clydesdale, 17.1h)
Sire: Desert Jewel Lenny (Gypsy 14.1h)
Ethan is a REALLY nice Drum colt and happens to be Lenny's first Drum
Horse offspring! As a general rule I breed to keep the fillies and sell the colts
so Ethan is for sale! He was born with a bunch of bone and feather and has a
cute tiny head with curvy tipped ears! We had him color tested as he was born
a chestnut color but had grey/black in his mane, he IS a confirmed bay but still
has a very light coloration. Ethan is now almost 9 months old and is just the
sweetest boy! Ethan is sure to make someone a great Drum Horse gelding.
Ethan has all his ground manners, halters, leads, baths, picks up feet, stands for
the farrier, etc. He is scheduled to be gelded soon to ensure the best possible
life for him and since he is solid colored won't be a market for breeding. Ethan
will sure be one to watch and I look forward to watching his progress
throughout the years!

Image Setter Dottie
2009 Bay and White Gypsy Filly
Dam: Image Setter Sapphire (daughter of Nobby)
Sire: Image Setter Jimbo (son of Syd's Good Stallion)
Here is a PHENOMENALLY bred Gypsy filly! She has Lottery Horse,
Nobby, Syd's Good Stallion and Jimbo all in her immediate pedigree!
She also definitely looks to be homozygous for tobiano gene. If all that
wasn't enough, this filly is put together REALLY well and could easily be
your next show prospect. She is a bay and white which is also beneficial
if you are looking to breed the off colors like Buckskin and Whites. This
is a SUPER nice filly and if I had the money she would be a Shiredale
mare. Don't miss out on the chance to own this super nice filly!
Price: 10,000

Image Setter Jimbo's Boy (JB)
2009 Black and White Colt
Dam: Image Setter Golden PomPom
Sire: Image Setter Jimbo
JB is appropriately named as he certainly shows all the characteristics to
follow in his sire's hoofprints. He is a super nice put together colt that has
perfect markings on top of it all (he even has a black tail which is super
helpful for shows, etc :)). JB is a super friendly young colt that already
shows great promise to have great feathering! He is sure to make a nice
stallion prospect or show prospect and has the potential to go in whichever
direction you want him to go! Jimbo has already really proven himself in
the show ring and in the breeding barn, and JB looks to follow his sire!
Price: 10,000.

Image Setter Sparky
2009 Black and White Gypsy Colt
Dam: Image Setter Fancy (BFSGH Bonnie x BFSGH Rom Baro)
Sire: West River Nobby (sired by the one and only Lottery Horse)
For all of those that have admired Rom Baro over the years, THIS is the
colt you must have if you want a horse like Rom Baro. He is almost
identically marked to his grand sire Rom Baro and already has impressive
amount of hair! Rom Baro only sired 4 foals while in the US, of those 1
was a Drum Horse (Maddie's daughter Harper), 1 was a colt and two were
fillies. Fancy is one of those fillies which makes the Rom Baro line very
limited, so this is the best shot at getting an offspring by him and the added
benefit of having Lottery Horse in his bloodlines too! This is definitely
going to be really classy stallion or show prospect and as said before is the
image of his grand sire! Sparky is definitely one not to be missed!!!
Price: 12,000.
