New Pics of Heidi
Heidi is by far and away the horse of a lifetime! She is the love
of my life and I don't know where I would be without her! She
is the most loving horse I have ever come across, greeting me
every morning with a huge nicker (then she demands her belly
scratch :) )! She was a bit heavier in 05 than in previous as she
retained much of her lactation weight but she has lost weight
since.. Heidi has definitely entered the category of never being
for sale! I love her dearly and couldn't imagine my life without
her! After all she is the founding member of my farm too, so all
the farm's success belongs to her! Heidi will be rebred in
May/June 2006 for a foal by Black Forest Shires new Shire
stallion, Burnham's Green Alfie. This baby should be a show
stopper and will be Alfies first baby here in the US! Here is
Avril!
-> This is
probably my
most favorite
pic of her! She
is mimicing the
way
D'Artagnan
was eating
forever! Her
feathers don't
look all that
great but they
are full, she
probably had
mud
compacting
them (has been
a rainy summer
so far here).
They are so full
that our farrier
has to rubber
band them in
order to work
with her hoof!
Such a
cutie!!!!!!
Here are some new pics of Heidi as of Nov 26th, as you can see she is sound and healthy again! Yay! This is the way I
normally ride Heidi, just a halter and lead rope! I have gotten on her before with no control method (no lead, halter, etc)
and walked, trot, and cantered! She is SUCH a good girl! She has full winter coat in these pics (even though it has yet to
snow in Fort Collins yet-the weatherman predicts tonight though). Look at her feather and mane fly! I just love her and
she is SO much fun to ride! In the pic below the house in front of Heidi's nose is my house!
