Heidi is a 1997 blood bay Shire Mare. She is registered with the Shire Horse Society in England and the ASHA.
Heidi was bred and owned by Black Forest Shires until 2003 when she came to Shiredale. There she had a very
successful show career going earning a 2nd place weanling in Halter at the National Shire Show, 3rd place
yearling Shire or Clyde at the 1998 National Western Shire Show, and a Reserve Junior Champion at the 1998
Rocky Mountain Regional Shire Show. I went out in the Spring of 2003 and met Heidi and fell in love at first
meeting. She was my first Shire and is the best horse I have ever owned, hands down! Heidi came to Shiredale
in 2003, and has since produced 4 exceptional foals to run on her legacy! Heidi is used to introduce people to the
Shire breed by attending parades, giving kids rides at a local Church's Autumfest, playing King Herod's horse at
Follow the Star. Heidi is worth her weight in gold and there will NEVER be another like her!
