Belle is a three year old Clydesdale mare that I imported from Sasketchewan, Canada. She was born May 15th 2002, and I
found her while on PrismPMUFoal's website, due to the Mad Cow Outbreak in Canada her previous owner was forced to
sell off his Clydesdales to keep his far afloat. I found Belle on February 2nd 2004 and purchased her on Feb 17 04.. She
was then shipped from Canada to the place I was boarding in Erie, CO on March 7th and boy was she a wild one :).
(Pictures below when she came). When Belle came she was extremely scared of humans. Even the slightest of moves and
she was gone! It took on average 30 minutes to catch her in a tiny 50 foot round pen! She is COMPLETELY different now
thanks to some natural horsemanship training and just spending time with her.
Belle the day she arrived, she looked like a Wooly Mammoth
New pictures of Belle in April 2007. Belle is currently
HEAVY in foal (she actually foaled the night these
pictures were taken) to a Drum Horse stallion named
Galway Warrior. Belle's tail is wrapped as it is SO thick
I wanted to try and keep in out of the messy birthing
process as much as possible! Below is a picture of later
that night with her new baby Bianca! Click here to see
Bianca!
