Fort Worth Stock Show Gypsy World Show (Dual judged)
Horses attended: Dinah
Class Results:
Gypsy Horse In Hand Trail- 4th & 6th out of 15 horses
Gypsy Horse Senior Mare- 4th & 6th out of 9 mares
Gypsy Horse Broken Color Mare- 3rd & 5th out of 9 mares
Dinah was super well behaved throughout the show, even though she wasn't
quite what the judges were looking for (she is a BIG traditional pulling mare
style and that wasn't the popular style at this show).  She is still my favorite
Gypsy and was one of the favorites of the Gypsy breeders in attendance.  Not
every judge is going to like her and that is a part of showing!  Dinah was a
fabulous example of the Gypsy throughout the days walking in and out of the
crowds and allowing many people to pet her and get their first experience with
a Gypsy.  At the end of the day, that is the best part allowing people to get to
interact with this beautiful horses!  Dinah is now done with showing till the fall
as she is due to foal March 15th and then will be caring for her baby!  Look
for her at more shows in the fall!
2010 Parada Del Sol Parade February 20th 2010
Horses attended: DJ Flash (pictured at left), DJ Cushla, DJ Coates, & Ruby
Sky Annie
We made our second appearance in as many years at the Parada Del Sol.
This year the parade's theme was "Think Pink" for Breast Cancer
Awareness, so we decked the horses out in pink!  Unfortunately Dinah wasn't
able to attend as it was too close to her foaling date and she was miserable
and not up for the 3 mile walk, next year she will be there again though!  I
had the opportunity to ride Flash, Desert Jewel's palomino stallion that did a
great job as did all the horses in our group!  Unforuntately it decided to open
up and down pour just minutes before we started the parade route and lasted
teh entire parade route.  It was cold and wet and kinda miserable but we
made the best out of it and had fun and look forward to being able to attend
again next year!
Father/Daughter Dance @ Chaparral Christian Church, February 20th 2010
"Shires After Dark"
Horses attended: Heidi and Adrianna
We were asked to supply a couple horses for the Father/Daughter dance at
the church as the dance had a western theme, so we brought out the
mother/daughter team of Heidi and Adrianna to stand and pose and let
daughters and their fathers pet them and take pictures next to them.  Pictured
at left is Heidi and Adrianna waiting in the trailer for their performance.  The
rain had pretty well let up by night fall but was still a bit cold and sprinkles
here and there so they got to hang in the trailer till they were needed.  They
were absolute stars like they normally are and Adrianna was used for all the
photos :).  Adria is SURE to follow in her mothers footsteps and take over all
her mom's duties when her mom is retired (which shouldn't be for years to
come but is reassuring knowing there is another girl waiting in the wings if
anything should happen to Heidi).  They are truly the dream team!
Trail Ride @ AZ Horse Lover's Park, March 3rd 2010, Phoenix, AZ
After talking about it for nearly two years finally got the girls, Maddie and
Heidi out for a trailride with friends.  My friend Kim rode a Gypsy Stall, JT
rode Heidi, and I rode Maddie bareback :).  We schooled them in the arena
for awhile then hit the trails.  Of course of all the days we picked, they were
doing Mounted Patrol desensitizing in the same area, so there were gun
shots, clouds of smoke, etc.  The horses did phenomenal and didn't even
bother them!  Go Girls!
Dinah gives birth to her first baby, a colt named Flint.  March 16th 2010
9:30am
After waiting weeks for junior's arrival, Dinah finally decided to allow him
to grace our presence on March 16th.  He was built right from the get go,
with amazing bone, feather, beautifully compact and a nice deep red color to
boot!  Flint is super sweet like both of his parents and is sure to make a
potential herd sire at some point!  Congrats Dinah and Welcome Flint!

2010 Parde of Palms Parade, Chaparral Christian Church March 27th 2010
Heidi and Adrianna once again graced the streets around Chaparral to
celebrate the Parade of Palms!  Heidi and Adrianna also participated last
year when Adrianna was just a 1 month old, so people that knew them were
shocked at how big Adria has gotten!  Both girls did absolutely wonderful as
always and were a crowd favorite and let many people pet them at the end
of the parade!  These two truly are my superstars and don't know where
would be without them!
2010 Fiesta Days Parade, Cave Creek AZ, April 10th 2010
Heidi & I joined our friends at the Feathered Horses of Arizona group to
parade the feathered breeds of Arizona at the groups first parade!  There
were Gypsies and Drums and then the Shire being miss Heidi!  It was a
great LONG 4 mile parade total between getting to where we need to be
and getting back to the trailer but was much fun going down the main street
of Cave Creek with traffic going by.  None of the horses cared even in the
slightest, so was a great parade and one we hope to do again next year!
Belle has her 3rd baby, a bay colt named Devin.  April 16th 2010 2:30am
After cooking the big boy 5 days over her due date, Belle decided to let
him come into the world on April 16th.  He is a huge colt with great
bone and very cute disposition!  He is sure to be a big boy like his mom!
Welcome to the world Devin and Congrats Belle!
