Parada Del Sol Parade, Scottsdale AZ, 10am - 12pm, 3 mile Parade
Dinah driven by Joe Windas (from England)
Dinah was driven in the parade for her first time out driving in a
parade. She did spectacular and looked awesome with all the other
Gypsies!

Heidi foaled a Bay Shire filly at 10:40am by Gronant Joseph!
With her being almost 2 weeks late I was pretty certain it would be
a colt, but was extremely delighted to find it was in fact a filly to
join her full sister, Adrianna!

Faye foaled her first foal at 9:30pm, a Grey Shire Stud colt,
named Joshua. Josh is one of only two living colts by Joey!
Beautiful Grey with 2 high whites, a partial and a solid front!

Parade of Palms @ Chaparral Christian Church
Horses Attended: Heidi & Josephine
I took out Heidi and her new foal, Josie to go to a 1 block parade 5
minutes from the house! She was excellent and LOVED getting to
be pet and loved on! Both girls were huge successes and were
wonderful!

Dinah foaled her second foal at 10:30am, a Bay Gypsy filly
named Isabella! Bella is everything I was hoping for and

Autumnfest @ Chaparral Christian Church
Horses Attended: Heidi and Fable
Heidi once again gave TONS of "pony" rides at Autumnfest,
Chaparral's safe fun alternative to Trick-or-Treating for
Halloween. Heidi was a huge hit as she always is and Fable
was excellent at letting the kids pet her while they waited in
line to ride Heidi! It was a great night and look forward to
Autumnfest 2012!

Unfortunately Joshua had a very short battle with Colic
(went out Nov 1st at 11pm and he was sleeping), and went
out to feed at 7am to find him down and thrashing. I gave
him Banamine & sedated him to keep him quiet until the vet
got there. We tried one life saving attempt and it failed so I
had him humanely euthanized to end his pain. It is just 27
days shy of Joey (his sire's) one year anniversary of his
passing so it is extra tough :(. RIP Josh, your time here was
far too short, but you were so loved and are SO missed.

Wild West Days Parade, Cave Creek, AZ
Horses attended: Dinah & Fable with Kim Ruskanen
Sadly it rained all night the night before the parade so the horses
feather got dirty but there was nothing to be done. So my friend
Kim & I set out to have a fun parade despite the overcast skies
and drizzly cold weather! Dinah & Fable were the only Gypsy
Horses in attendance and did the breed proud with their quiet
demeanor and great manners! So excited for the years to come
getting these girls and Bella out in the public together! They are
excellent together! A great time was had by all and Dinah &
Fable were superstars!

Dinah sold back to Desert Jewel.
Life has been full of curve balls this year and I had to get
responsible and make some changes in my life and it breaks my
heart but Dinah was one. I love her and if I ever win the lotto she
will once again be a Shiredale mare, but for now she is owned by
Desert Jewel. I will forever cherish her baby, Isabella, and I still
get the best of both worlds being able to spend time with her each
day at DJ!

Fort McDowell Fiesta Day Parade
Phoenix, AZ
In November I got a call asking if DJ would participate in the Fiesta
Day Parade as they had heard our horses were perfectly behaved
and looked stunning in a parade. We immediately accepted and got
the horses ready for their largest parade here in AZ. Nearly
100,000 people lined the streets for 3 miles in Phoenix and the
weather was a perfect 70 degrees! The parade could not have been
better! The horses were great and looked stunning all recently
bathed! Big thanks to Courtney for creating the custom flower
blankets depicting the AZ State Flag since 2012 is AZ's Centennial
Year. It was a beautiful parade and the horses were perfect!
