Here you will find the most recent pictures of Avril.  She is the image of her mother in every way and every day shows more and more of
Heidi's characteristics.  She absolutely loves to be scratched and would much rather seek out human attention than equine attention.  Wonder
where she gets that from....*cough* Heidi *cough*!  She is just becoming the love of the farm and every person that comes to visit goes
home absolutely in love with Avril.  The pictures below show she is not so little either.  She is only 2.5 weeks old in these photos and is just
HUGE!  She will be Heidi height in NO time!  The new photos are from April 29th, was their first day out in green pasture with
pasturemates Belle and Bianca!  Enjoy!
Bianca and Avril
"I really wish my neck is as long as moms!"
Frustrated by our neck length!
Nope, not tall at all!  Heidi is only 16.3hh!  Avril is catching up in no time!
Some new photos of miss Avril on May 14th. She is now just barely over one month old and is amazingly built!  At left is a
fun photo during a rain storm and she is looking out of the barn.  Look at that hind end!  At right is a picture of her beautiful
head!  She has the prettiest head!  She is just the sweetest filly that loves humans and one can do anything with her.  She
has already had her first feet trim and stood like an angel!  She is just the best filly ever!  Heidi way outdid herself with this
one!
Some close up photos of Avril's feather as
of May 14th 2007.  She has AMAZING
hair for being just barely over 1 month
old!  It is already curling at her pastern
and is already coming down over her
hoof.  Both photos show off her left front
leg and her feather is just amazing!  You
can see it is already over 2 inches long!
She will have amazing hair when grown!
New photos of Avril from just prior to her 3rd month (late June-early July).  She is just getting bigger and bigger and sweeter and sweeter!
She is SUCH a love and I can rarely get good photos of her cause even when she is in the full lush pasture she wants to be right next to me.
In ALL these photos I had to scare her away from me in order to get ANY photos :)!  There is no doubt she will do Heidi proud, she is just
the image of her mother...except she will be a LOT taller than her mom!  Anyway enjoy the new photos.  She is another heart horse and cand
hardly wait for her to get big and older and be able to really work with her!
New pictures of miss Avril taken at the end of July 2007.  She is almost
four months old in these photos.  These photos were from her first day
finally coming home, to live in my backyard here in Phoenix.  I am SO
happy to have them home and from the pictures the girls are enjoying it
too!  She is just growing up to be an absolutely huge baby!  She at
almost four months stands a mere four inches shorter than her mom
(Heidi is 16.3hh).  So Alfie definitely contributed his height to his "little"
girl!
Avril's first encounter with Jack the donkey!  Heidi is quick to
remind her not to talk to strangers!  Curiosity kills the cat though!
New photos of Avril as of
New photos of Avril as of
about 5 1/2 months old and
already stands over 14.2hh!
She is just the SWEETEST
thing ever and just LOVES
people!  She is getting ready
to go to Pomona, CA to go
to the National Shire Show.
The show runs from Sept
26th through September
30th.  She shows on the 30th
in weanling halter.  We will
see what the judges think!  I
think she is pretty amazing!
Enjoy!
Avril's set, this is what you
look for when you are looking
for the Shire set!  This would
be considered show ring legs!
of Avril and I in Pomona, CA attending the 2007 National Shire Show at
the Fairplex Equine Center!  The photo at right and below are of us just
walking around getting used to riding Mules, etc.  The picture at bottom
right is us being judged.  Unfortunately Avril looked like a Moose more
than a Shire due to a sudden growth spurt but she was perfectly well
behaved which is more than I could ever ask for! We had a lot of fun and
look for Avril in the future in the show ring!
