Avril is a beautiful 2007 Bay Shire mare out of Heidi and by Burnham Green
Alfie. Avril was the first filly ever born here at Shiredale and was also Heidi's
first filly ever as well! Avril got her name as she was born a week to the day
before Avril Lavigne's 2nd CD "Under My Skin" dropped, who was one of my
favorite artists at the time so that is how she got her name! Avril was born broke
to do anything and everything! That which she didn't know she learned quickly.
She has been an amazing horse to be around and know as she has grown up into
a mare. Avril is now the tallest horse here at Shiredale and is already well over
17.2h. Avril combined beautiful attributes of both parents to create a beautiful
and well mannered horse! Avril is best friends with her 1/2 sister Annie, and best
friends with her 1/2 sisters on her dam side, Adrianna and Josephine. Avril has
always had a special bond with her grandmother Maddie as well. Avril is super
happy here and will continue out her days here either foaling Drum Horses or
Shire foals in the future. Avril's first foal will arrive in 2012 and is to be a Drum
Horse foal sired by Desert Jewel Isaac. Please keep checking back as Avril nears
the due date of her first foal! March 16th 2012 can not come soon enough so
can meet Avril's child that lies inside her. Please keep checking for photos of
Avril's child arrives! It will be guaranteed to be black and white or bay and white
due to Isaac being homozygous tobiano! So excited!
